I so wanted to find the remains of this post but alas it is demolished. When they build the Dual Carriageway (just a couple of hundred yards away) they used a massive lorry mounted hydraulic jack to smash the roof in before back filling the lot. The first photo shows the outline of the post in the crops. The second shows the post in a ruinous state back in 2001 before they demolished it for safety reasons as kids were still trying to use it as a den. The farmer salvaged the ladder for use on one of his silo’s. Only the corner of the hatch remains, dumped beside the trig point.
